What If: The Great Awakening

In recent years, the U.S. government has begun to acknowledge the possibility that we are not alone in the universe. Reports of unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs) have made headlines, sparking conversations about extraterrestrial life. But what if the true awakening is not just about discovering aliens among us, but realizing that some of us are, in fact, those very beings?

The term “alien” often carries a negative connotation, evoking images of invaders or outsiders. Yet, the abilities traditionally associated with extraterrestrials—time travel, telepathy, communication with celestial bodies—are these attributes truly alien, or could they be inherent aspects of our own nature that we have yet to fully understand?

Redefining “Alien” and “Human”

The dictionary defines an alien as “belonging to another.” This resonates with a biblical perspective found in John 17:14-16 (NIV): “I have given them your word, and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of it.” This suggests that we may be in the world but not truly of it, aligning with the idea of being “alien” to our earthly environment.

Conversely, the definition of “human” is “characteristic of people,” which implies traits and qualities shaped by our culture and environment. If humans are trained to be human by the cultures they are exposed to, could it be that many of us are actually alien beings, shaped by different cosmic cultures and characteristics?

The Question of Identity

“What does it mean to be human?” is a question that has puzzled philosophers, scientists, and ordinary people for centuries. If our true nature was inherently human, why would we need to seek clarification? This very quest for understanding suggests that being human might be an experience rather than an identity.

The Cosmic Perspective

Imagine if our journey on Earth is meant to answer this fundamental question. Outside of this earthly environment, we might not be human at all. Our incarnation here could be an opportunity to explore and experience what it means to be human. This perspective opens the door to a broader understanding of identity, one that transcends earthly boundaries and embraces our potential cosmic origins.

As we continue to explore the mysteries of the universe and our place within it, we may find that the lines between “alien” and “human” are not as clear-cut as we once thought. Perhaps, in embracing our full potential, we will discover that we are both—and much more.

Safe travels!
