Honor and Blessings

To my left was my Father; to my right was my Mother. I stood in front of my Father ...Richard Carter Jr. I looked in his eyes and then bowed with my face on the ground- I thanked him for allowing my spirit to soar and for being the first. I gave him honor, respect, admiration and love. I then asked for his blessing.

As I rose, he told me how proud of me he was and he gave me his blessing. Standing behind him was Juanita and Richard Carter Sr. I stood in front of them, bowed with my face to the ground and thanked them for allowing my Source to create me. I thanked them for being the first. I gave them honor, respect, admiration and love. I then asked for their blessing; which they proudly gave to me.

I walked over to my mother; Sandra Sandiford Jr. I looked into her eyes and thought how beautiful she is. I bowed down and with my face to the ground, I thanked her for allowing my spirit to soar and for being the first. I gave her honor, respect, admiration and love.

As I rose, I saw tears of pure happiness and she said she was proud of me and gave me her blessing. Standing behind her were my grandparents Claude Sandiford Sr. and Sandra Sandiford Sr. I stood in front of them, bowed face down and thanked them for my Source, I thanked them for being the first. I gave them honor, respect, admiration and love. I then asked for their blessing and they gladly gave it to me.

My parents and my grandparents then gave me gifts of gold and all kinds of fruit and gifts. When I stepped back I could see almost like a sea of people standing behind each lineage and almost like in sync they formed into one great line. Everyone was in place; all of us carrying gold. I took my place in the front of the line and then my children; Ishea stood in front of me, in front of her stood Bryanna and in front of her stood Chase.

My Father put his hand on my shoulder and my Mother put her hand on my other shoulder. We all looked up to see our future and it is beyond beautiful....we then began to walk in that direction.

All of us...in a single, straight line.
